En 2004, l’éternel écorché vif Mark Eitzel avait réactivé American Music Club après 10 ans de hiatus pour le très mitigé Love Songs for Patriots. Désormais seul survivant de la formation originelle avec son guitariste Mark « Vudi » Pankler, ils nous reviendront début 2008 avec un neuvième album nettement plus inspiré, intitulé The golden Age. Deux nouvelles têtes les ont rejoints en studio : Sean Hoffman (basse) et Steve Didelot (batterie). L’opus sortira autour du 15 février en France via Cooking Vinyl. The golden Age a été enregistré et mixé par Dave Trumfio à Los Angeles.
