Intitulé The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project, ce projet lancé par son vieil ami et bassiste Cypress Grove se veut un album de relectures de textes et chansons laissés à l’état d’ébauche ou qui n’ont pu être enregistré par le charismatique chanteur de Gun Club. De nombreuses personnalités s’affèrent avec passion à donner vie à ses mélodies orphelines : Nick Cave en duo avec Debbie Harry, Mick Harvey, David Eugene Edwards (Sixteen Horsepower, Wovenhand), Mark Lanegan seul ou avec Isobel Campbell, Lydia Lunch, Dave Alvin, The Raveonettes and ou encore Crippled Black Phoenix… L’album paraitra le 18 janvier 2010.
