Trois ans après un West Kirby Country Primary,  très tendance slacker, le scouser Bill Ryder-Jones s’apprête encore à nous surprendre sur son quatrième album solo, intitulé Yawn, à paraître le 2 novembre chez Domino.  L’ex guitariste de The Coral poursuit son exploration du rock alternatif 90’s avec un impressionnant premier extrait, « Mither », plus slowcore que nature,  dans la veine de Red House Painters, Idaho & Co. Et ce n’est pas pour nous déplaire !

L’album a été enregistré et produit par Bill Ryder-Jones avec l’aide notamment de The Orielles et Our Girl au chant, Rod Skip au violon et Craig Silvey (Portishead, Arcade Fire) au mixage. Bill Ryder-Jones sera en concert à Paris le 19 novembre au Badaboum en première partie de Gruff Rhys.
