Collectif culte des années 80 et new-wave Minimal Compact se rappellent à nos bons souvenirs. Le 25 octobre 2019 sera publié au format cd, vinyl et (cd + livre) Creation is Perfect, une sélection de 8 titres réenregistrés et piochés parmi leur répertoire. Cet album – le premier depuis 30 ans – a été produit par Colin Newman (Wire) mari de la bassiste Malka Spiegel.

Cette formation atypique, basée en Belgique formée en 1980 à Amsterdam, pratiqua avec intensité la fusion du post-punk et de la new-wave avec des influences prononcées moyen-orientales. Ils tireront leur épingle du jeu durant la période new-wave (leur plus gros succès sera leur album Raging Souls en 1985). La faute à qui ? : Samy Birnbach (chant) né en Israël, Malka Spigel (basse/claviers/chant) né en Pologne, Berry Sakharof (guitares/ claviers/chant) né Turquie, Rami Fortis (guitares/chant) né en Israël et Max Franken (batterie) né aux Pays-Bas.

Une tournée est notamment prévue pour accompagner cette sortie et pour patienter Un premier extrait est aussi dévoilé : le nerveux et dansant “Statik Dancin’” extrait de leur premier (12″) sorti en 1981 sur le légendaire label Crammed Discs.
