Trois ans après le très copieux 50 Song Memoir, l’auteur-compositeur californien Stephin Merritt et son groupe The Magnetic Fields annoncent un nouvel album Quickies, pour le 15 mai via a Nonesuch. Et comme d’habitude, il y a de la quantité : il s’agit d’un quintuple EP présenté sous forme de boxset comprenant 28 chansons (5 chansons en moyenne par EP) au format assez court (2 minutes 30 maximum). L’album sera également disponible sous forme numérique et en CD. Tracklisting ci-dessous, ainsi que le premier extrait « The Day The Politicians Died ».
