Deux ans après un sympathique premier album de pop Low-Fi décomplexée, le new-yorkais Darwin Deez a annoncé hier sur les réseaux sociaux la sortie de son second opus pour le 12 février. La galette s’intitule Songs For Imaginative People et contient dix nouvelles compositions, entièrement produits pas ses soins. Un disque plus ambitieux, d’après les commentaires de l’intéressé, « If the songs on my debut had a bite-sized element to them, the new songs are definitely full-size and king-size. So don’t just listen to them once and judge them; chew your food. It tastes better that way after all. »
L’album sera précédé du single « Free (The Editorial Me)' », à paraître avant la fin de l’année. Le songwriter bouclé sera enfin en concert le 29 novembre 2012 à Paris, la Boule Noire .
