Trois ans après la parution de son dernier album Dark Eyed Messenger, l’Irlandais Adrian Crowley, nous revient avec The Watchful Eye of the Stars le 30 avril prochain prochain via Chemikal Underground/[PIAS]. John Parish (Aldous Harding, PJ Harvey) en a assuré la production, tandis que le songwriter à la voix de bariton a alterné entre studio et enregistrement à domicile.  Jim Barr, de Portishead, a joué de la contrebasse et a été ingénieur du son sur une partie de l’album enregistré à Bristol. Deux singles ont déjà été dévoilés « Northbound Stowaway », ballade crépusculaire très Lee & Nancy, et le plus lumineux « Bread & Wine » :

Adrian Crowley sera, on l’espère, en concert le 4 octobre à Paris (FGO Barbara).
