Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver, est sorti de sa cabane du Wisconsin pour se lancer dans un side-project intitulé Volcano Choir. Enregistré en compagnie d’amis musiciens – accessoirement son backing band sur scène Collection of Colonies of Bees – l’album s’intitule Unmpap et contient neuf compositions. Le résultat sortira chez Jagjaguwar le 21 septembre et s’annonce beaucoup plus expérimental que ses précédents efforts solo avec des influences allant de David Sylvian à Steve Reich, Mahalia Jackson et Tom Waits…
